Geffrye Museum
London’s Geffrye Museum is housed in a series of Grade 1-listed, 18th-century alms houses with a central pavilion, a chapel with a portico. They are built around a courtyard and period garden that faces into a main road.
Sutton Vane Associates lit the exterior, courtyard, monuments and grounds to highlight the architecture, increase the buildings visibility from the street, reduce glare and save energy. A combination of refurbished traditional lanterns and highly efficient modern luminaires were used throughout the scheme. All circuits are automatically controlled by an astronomic time clock.
