Illuminate Science Museum
A pioneering lighting success has been accomplished by Sutton Vane Associates for the Science Museum. Sutton Vane Associates designed creative, functional and innovative lighting installations on the 4th and 5th floor of the museum. The team added an assortment of lighting layers into the space in order to provide architectural lighting that can be adapted to suit various kinds of events. The multifunctional space has been transformed into an engaging and unique experience that can be hired out for a wide range of events.
A specially created lighting control app has been developed to control illumination levels and manipulate dynamic and sensational colour effects into the room. The custom made luminaires fit the minimalistic and raw style of the space, appearing as if part of its construction. Scene setting possibilities range from a bright white contemporary look, to a warm and inviting evening setting. Colour branding of the space is also possible.
The extensive and unique project was Shortlisted for a 2019 Lux Award and was a Honourable Mention at the 2019 LIT Lighting Design Awards.
