The London Eye

Sutton Vane Associates were commissioned by Marks and Barfield, the creators of The London Eye, to develop a lighting strategy after earlier lighting attempts did not light the structure properly. A range of innovative solutions were proposed to light the structural rim. The proposals included colour changing effects, which were explored on computer simulations, examples of which can be seen above.

The client was delighted with the work but a change in ownership of The Eye delayed the implementation of the proposals.
