Accommodation Hub National Gallery
The Accommodation Hub is a brand-new office space built into two converted lights wells at the National Gallery. Sutton Vane Associates were commissioned to light this 8 floor, 40,000 square foot workspace that is centred around encouraging workplace collaboration. The lighting scheme was designed to draw people into the main space using LED Striplights to create a warm glow to bannisters and wall lights are used to wash the characterful brickwork. Large halo pendants are used to punctuate the space and emphasize the sense of unity. Due to the large amounts of daylight in the space, SVA ran calculations in order to ensure that this was maximized, to create an uplifting and energizing main area. The surrounding offices were subtly lit to create a fresh atmosphere.
