Rosewood Corniche Hotel

Sutton Vane Associates designed the lighting for selected parts of the interior and exterior for the Rosewood Corniche hotel, a prominent feature in the skyline of Jeddah which required lighting to emphasise the prestige of the building. One challenge was the lighting of the extraordinary cylindrical atrium and its highly decorated ceiling. The light from the atrium was needed for the landings and corridor areas as well as for the reception area below. The luxurious swimming pool on top of the 18 storey hotel roof overlooks the city, and has real flames at the top of each column. SVA designed special feature column lights which illuminate the areas around the pool without detracting from the skyline or causing glare to people using it.
