This parish church has a world class range of Medieval wall paintings. Sutton Vane Associates designed a special system that projects images of the original wall paintings onto the walls where they were. The visitor can admire the existing paintings, above left, then push a button and see the paintings as they were originally, above right. Sutton Vane Associates also designed the very flexible lighting scheme for the whole church which allows a range of activities. It can give a subtle lift to the altar, the fine windows above the altar and the war memorial. There are some windows with stained glass that have been blocked by buildings, right. These are secretly backlit with light that matches the daylight so that visitors cannot tell that they are lit by artificial light.
