Sutton Vane Associates were commissioned to write a strategy for the overall lighting of Hastings and St Leonard’s.

As part of the initial strategy a group of “Winds of Change” lights were installed. Each light has a wind vane attached to a rotating colour wheel. As the direction of the wind changes the colour wheel rotates and the colour of the light shone up onto the sculptural reflector above the light fitting changes.

Varied and visually captivating results are produced by this remarkably simple, low maintenance scheme.
